Good to see the photograph of the Humber Hillman Pupils & Apprentices circa 1953. I finished my apprenticeship in February 1953 as a Toolmaker, and called for national service in March. I started my apprenticeship in 1956. I well remember the weekly PE sessions on the playing field. The main advantage of these sessions was the free cooked breakfast afterwards. I was a child at the notorious girls home Newfields house on foleshill Coventry when I was 10 yrs old.
